WHO IS GNC?

Ghana National Council (GNC) is a community of Ghanaians that began meeting  in the 1960’s as the Ghana Student’s Union; to create a home base for themselves and others that migrated from Ghana to Chicago. 

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

The council was formed to assist fellow Ghanaians and Africans with resources in citizenship, employment, housing, education, health, and fellowship.

AFFILIATES

As a 501 (c)(3) council, Ghana National Council has grown to consist of 14 affiliate Ghanaian community organizations.

EVENTS

There are a large array of events in the Ghanaian community not only curated by the Ghana National Council but also among community members. 

HELP US TO ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF BUILDING A COMMUNITY GHANA HOUSE. 

One of the main goals of the Ghana National Council is to build a community house to educate on Ghanaian culture, traditions languages, and serve as a central meeting place  for community events and functions.
