The Dream
Through my years of pastoral, theological, and ministerial studies in the US, I have come to identify a real need in the larger Ghanaian society. The need is the absence of a professional center that provides psycho-social, emotional and spiritual support to people in the community. As a matter of fact, an easily and identifiable center, that welcomes and creates a “sacred” time and space for the emotionally and spiritually hurting is non-existent. A center where respect, integrity, and confidentiality of the individual would be highly honored and respected. A center that will use critical analysis along with the scientific method to analyze and synthesize the issues confronting the client; which is based on sound theological, pastoral, ministerial, medical and psychological assessment.
The Royal Diadem Pastoral Center in Kumasi-Ghana seeks to positively transform lives through the programs listed below:
* Pastoral Counseling
* Professional Chaplaincy in our Hospitals
* Pastoral Education and Training for Pastors, Church Leaders, Hospital Administrators and the Ancillary Medical Staff.
* Career Counseling and Guidance for the Youth
* Spiritual Direction and empowerment
* Others
The need briefly expressed above is the dream and passion of Chaplain Dr Gabriel Amoateng-Boahen,Director of the Royal Diadem Pastoral Center,Kumasi-Ghana.
