RE: DRESS CODE ASANTEMAN INAUGURATION
It is gratifying to note that Asanteman Association is inaugurating the chieftaincy of
Nana Addai Baffour and Nana Abena Amposah as Chief and Queen of the Asantefuo in Chicago. The event is this week-end, Saturday, May 24th, 2008 at 63rd and Cottage Grove.
The Secretariat received notice from Asanteman that they would appreciate all chiefs and queens appear in a preferred dress code as follows;-
Saturday:-
a) All Chiefs and Queens - Black cloth
b) The Community - Black and White cloth
Sunday:-
a) All Chiefs and Queens - Kente (Sika) cloth
b) The Community - Kente cloth
The Program will strictly start at 9.00pm with a “Procession” of Chiefs/Queens and Council members at 9.15pm prompt. This is a swearing-in ceremony so please time is very important.
It is expected of all affiliates to cooperate by adhering to these guidelines to preserve our rich Ghanaian traditional culture.
