Ghana Chicago Club
The
GHANA-CHICAGO CLUB (GCC) was inaugurated in 1978 and incorporated as
a non-profit organization in 1980. Its mission is as follows:
-
To promote, foster or encourage charitable, benevolent,
or eleemosynary activity among its members and to foster a sense
of mutual assistance among them.
-
To administer and operate real property owned on a
cooperative basis; so as to provide decent housing for members and
their families.
-
To form any commercial, professional, trade or
industrial association; in order to diversify the Club's
activities and broaden its scope.
-
To promote, encourage or foster any social, cultural,
literary or religious purpose or activity, to further help educate
members about their responsibilities.
-
To administer and operate a for-profit subsidiary on a
cooperative basis, producing or furnishing goods, capital,
services or facilities primarily for the benefit of its members
and for other consumers of such goods or services.

Club Executives
In 1995 the GCC organized and incorporated its subsidiary,
GHANACHI INVESTMENTS INC., to raise and invest capital in the
following enterprises:

Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Equity Funds, Life
Insurance.

Real Estate - Private and Commercial
-
Private Transportation - Livery, Taxi, etc
-
Retail Services
The long-term goals of Ghanachi Investments are based on the
development of strategies in the business/investment plan, rather
than on dreams or hopes.
MEMBERSHIP in the GCC is open to all Ghanaians irrespective
of ethnic origins, religion, or nationality.
The GCC is a unique organization for monitoring the fluid
dynamics of the Ghanaian community in metropolitan Chicago. It has
played and continues to play a major role in the socio-economic and
cultural development of the community such as:

Being instrumental in the formation and reorganization
of the GHANA NATIONAL COUNCIL.

In establishing GHANA FEST and bringing positive images
of AFRICA to the American public.

In the formation and organization of the GA-ADANGBE
COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION in Chicago, to name a few.
The GCC is a strong, vibrant, dynamic organization of
talented, dedicated and diverse members, which keeps getting
stronger and better.
It boasts a current liquid asset balance of over $50,000 in a
diversified portfolio.
The GCC's proactive plans for the future, calls for the involvement
