Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago

The bedrock of America is its diversity. It has diverse cultures and traditions. Within this diversity are the Ghanaian cultures and traditions which are diverse. There is the need to create an organization that would unite these different cultures and traditions that make up the Ghanaian community in Chicago, hence the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago (GNC).

The main objectives of the GNC are to create unity within the Ghanaian community in Metropolitan Chicago, help develop the various communities around us and to foster relationship with all cultures within the Chicago Metropolitan area and the world at large through various activities and programs.

The GNC is made up of Eleven Ghanaian Associations in the Chicago area , all registered with the Illinois Secretary of state and the Executive Body who see to the daily operation of the council.
