THE TRADITIONAL "SIT-DOWN" BEFORE THE FINAL FUNERAL RITES

Nana Kweku Duah, an Elder of Asanteman Association and former Vice-President of The Church of the Ghanaian Community of Chicago and his Brother, Mr.Kwame Opoku, had a traditional ceremony called "Sitting Down" in Nana Dua's house to formally inform the community of their Mother's death and funeral arrangements in Ghana and Chicago. Kweku Duah and Kwame will leave for Ghana later this month to bury their mother. The Final Funeral Rites and celebration of their Mother's Life in Chicago will be held at 83rd and Ellis Community Center on September 5th 2009.
